Oh Abe....

Abe's Poem

"Roses are red, violet are blue.

Jesus created me and you.

When death comes we'll see him again,

with a body that will blend in."

~Yep, that's our boy.

Yes, we did laugh really hard and loud when we read this.

4 months old...

Wow....4 months already.
Sully is our little love.

Not our easiest baby.

But when he is happy....he lights up this house.

His love affair with his hands is HUGE!

I don't think any of our other children have loved their hands so much....

Then again, my memory isn't what is use to be.

I want to touch and kiss that dimple in his chin just looking at this picture.

He can get really mad in just a matter of seconds.....

Is it wrong I think that crying face is so cute?

See that drool?

That happens a lot.

My first born drooled a lot too....he ALWAYS wore a bib.

Sull's well, he's my fifth.

Mostly he is always a little damp.

When people see Sully they always ask, "which one of your kids does he look like?"

I don't know.....Who do you think?

Truly, I want to know.

(Just leave a comment in the box.....comments have been a bit stingy lately)

It's usually quickly followed by a, "he has a different look than your other kids"

To this I agree.

He still scrunches up when I get him up.....sigh.

I'll hate when that goes away.

Waking up to him every morning is like Christmas for me.

For real.

For Gwyn too....and when she comes home from school, and from playing with friends, and from using the bathroom, cleaning her room, walking into the kitchen.....

You get the picture right.

Happy 4 months baby boy.

I LOVE YOU!

So we resort to wigs....

How can she be old enough already to be losing teeth?

Bob is show casing her teeth for you all.

She is thrilled to finally lose a tooth.

(That darn tooth fairy got lost in the rain last night I think.)

*I am pretty sure that second tooth may be out by tonight.

Swiss Days

We have lived in Santa Clara for over 6 years now.

This is our home.

Our little town celebration is Swiss Days and we look forward to it every year.

The Swiss Pioneers settled our pretty little town.

This confused Gwyn and today she asked Bob and I "What did we do so that the Swiss had to come and settle us down?"

So this year Gwyn and Gil participated in Swiss Miss and Swiss Mister...

My mom is truly amazing and sewed this little number up a couple weeks ago for Gwyn.

This is going to be picture over load....this is for you mom!

I made the flower head piece to match this adorable dress.

Gil is wearing some Lederhosen his Papa Lyle brought home from his mission in Germany over 40 years ago.

There are pictures of Bob wearing them some where at his parents house.

You can't get more authentic than that.

This is Gwyn pose to show Nannie her dress.

My friend Jessica helped me with her hair. She is crazy amazing with hair you should check out her hair blog.

Gwyn and Piper are friends....better yet Andrea and I are friends.

We both have only one daughter and MANY sons.

So we tend to find really girly things to do with our daughters:)

I want to go and pick Gil up and smoosh him something fierce in this picture.

He is an AWESOME sport to agree to do this.

So opening ceremony of Swiss Days the Santa Clara elementary choir sang and their drum corp. performed.

Both of my boys are in choir and drum corp.

Actually, Tucker is the President of the Cougar Choir.

Abe's first year in drum corp.

Right after the choir the Swiss Miss and only Swiss Mister were announced and paraded on to stage.

Saturday morning we were up bright and early for the parade.

Gwyn and Gil were in for the Swiss Miss and Mister.

Tucker was in it for year book.

Abe was in it for Student Council, he is actually the Vice President of the elementary school.

(Who knows why my boys are so ambitious. That is a totally different post.)

I'm not going to lie, we think having kids is so fun, especially when they are so cool.

A few last minute poses.

I convinced Gil that he had to do a little dance that involved hands on hips and heels touching out in front of him.

( I will be really sad when he stops just doing what we tell him.)

I can't get over him in Lederhosen.

The two littles were in the beginning of the parade.

We ended up being on the wrong side.

So I dashed over to snap a few shots of them.

Then we had a really long wait for the boys.

So I took pictures of Bob while we waited....

and of Gil while he told me about all the horse poop on the road...

and of the Lamoreaux, Reid, and Higgins children gathering candy.....

and of Sully smiling and talking to daddy.....

Until finally we saw them coming.

And then I got HORRID pictures of them.

After they skated past we gathered up our stuff and drove very quickly, trying not to break the law to 3 different soccer games.

Poor Gil had to miss his.

So there you have it, Swiss Days in a very long post.

*Thanks mom for making Gwyn the dress. We love it and she felt so pretty in it.

Cheering

Gwyn got to do a few days of a cheer clinic put on by Snow Canyon High School cheerleaders.

She really liked it.

Last Friday night she performed at half time.

She thinks it's really sad I was not a cheerleader.

She blames it on Nannie.....

and I let her.

But it's all good because my sisters were all cheerleaders....

One more reason she thinks they all walk on water.

I have a bunch of candid pictures so that you don't think her life is lived in only poses.

In this picture I can see she is only 5 years old.

I like it.

As you can see she was the only girl who thought that a cheer clinic would be fun.

She sat and performed by her friend Adde.
