Dear Mom......

I was so pleased that I could finally do my your old standby hairdo for us girls on my Gwynnie Girl! Pretty exciting for me!

Mom this one is for you! I pulled out my Halloween costume from 26 years ago and my daughter had to have it on. She loved the tights. She also loves the "danc-a" as she calls it. She is being ever so gentle with it.

I also showed her my first "special doll" and I finally pulled out my old doll cradle that you bought and painted for me. I need to repaint it...at some point.

At this point she was just sick of me taking her picture in this costume.

Mom you are the best. I remember putting on all your old dresses and night gowns growing up and all I can think is how great my childhood was and how much fun I had. I remember always being with you and how you always made what I did and do feel important. I can only hope for the same kind of relationship with my sweet girl.

Ode to Gilbert

Cubby is 4 months old!

He visited the Dr. today and he is doing great. He weighed in at 16lbs 4oz (75%). He is 27 inches long(98%). Pretty much Bob and I know how to grow them! He has the sweetest demeanor. He is very calm and loves to snuggle. He will curl right into your shoulder and love you back. He loves to talk, squeal, eat, and most of all sleep!!! He is our most calm and mellow baby(he may not have a choice) and just seems happy to be around. I have to admit though...he does have a pretty serious fear of his sister.(I can't really blame him.)
Sisterly Love

While taking theses pictures she was attacking him. He was sitting in his new little chair (the Bumbo) and she was trying to hug him and/or push him out of it. Our poor little man is hoping to make it to his 6 month check up.

After a very long night, Christmas arrives!!!!

Number 2 got his dream present...his Jeep! What he didn't know was that it came with a constant passenger (miss priss). That was one happy little boy this morning....by noon not so happy. It is hard when your older brother keeps you up all night because he is too excited. I am sad to say that the tired monster hit.

Number 1 got the sweetest RC Hummer. It was the hit of the day! Even though he was up all night, he seemed to avoid that monster that got his brother. (He is just like his dad when it comes to sleep, I know at one point his body will realize his lack of sleep, but maybe not for weeks.)
Cubby got a little baseball player that he quite enjoyed hugging and chewing on.

Nannie's present to number 3 was a Sweet Sara doll. She loved her so much. She calls her just "dolly". Which is different than her baby dolls that she calls "baby".

We tried really hard this year to make Christmas Eve more centerd on the birth of the Savior than the Santa factor. I had great intentions of having a great nativity with all of my littles dressed up but alas, Our nativity this year was not done in costume because of some tired babies. So, here we have Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus.

Christmas Eve

Going to church on Christmas Eve! The Boys had a hard time sleeping knowing that today is Christmas Eve, not a good sign.

Our Christmas Eve dinner (done all in candle light), cornish hens (my favorite) and my families traditional Christmas Jello, were among our lovely dinner items.

Polar Express

A's Kindergarten put on the Polar express song for us at his school today. Here is the train car he made for it.

He had to have new jammies and a robe for it so he could look like the little boy from the book. Nannie made a very quick trip to watch the program with us. That pretty much made my kids Christmas season to see her like that.

For FHE we delivered our neighborhood christmas gifts and sang a little carol for them as well. It pretty much consisted of anyone over five singing and the girly danced to our beautiful singing. The little man just watched all the goings on.

Chubby Cub

Sometimes I think I must produce pure cream!! Look at my little man, could he be any chubbier? Could he be any cuter? Our little Gilly cub is soooo mellow. He is still sleeping a lot and then when he is awake he just jabbers away until it's time to eat and then sleep again. I am hoping he will be able to lift that pumpkin of a head off the floor sometime soon. Amy always says my children come out suckling, apparently that is true.

Gil at the UofU vs. BYU game. He wore red for Aunt Paige but he was really cheering blue for dad's alma mater.

Abe decided one morning before school that he and Gilbert would have some floor time together. Can you tell that they are brothers?

TIGHTS!!!

I LOVE TIGHTS ON MY BABY GIRL!!!

There is nothing better than tights, especially striped or polka dotted tights. I put her in them and she can be the grumpiest girl in the world and I still think it's a great day with her. I love them on her with her little skirts, in her dresses and my most favorite is in her gauchos. Thank you fashion world for bringing back patterned tights! (Stephy J. as a teenager used to find pattern tights and wear them with her broom stick-skirts and boots she found at the DI. I liked the patterned tights even then....I think I was just to"cool" to wear them like she did. I'll bet she would wear them even now if she could find them.)

I pretty much think she is the cuteset little girl around. Can't you just feel the Diva oozing out of her. She is pretty funny.

Dancing Queen

Gwyn likes to try to make Gil Dance with her. It usually ends with her holding his hand and moving it to make him dance with her. He actually doesn't seem to mind.

Miss Gwynnie loves to dance! It is also her favorite phrase "I dance!" Right after her bath one night, she is insited on her ballet shoes and tutu (from her Grandy). She danced all night to a little Ray Coniff Christmas Music.

Paradise Cousins

My brother Bryce and his wife Lisa came from Paradise California. We don't get to see them very much, so it was a treat to be with them....the kids always cry when it's time to say goodbye to their cousins, there is never enough time with eachother.
