Dixie's Kite-Festival

Every year the kids are sent home from school with reading sheets to fill out. If they read x amount of minutes every day they qualify for a free kite at the Kite-Festival. We have learned that if you don't go right when it opens you don't get your favorite kite or it is very crowded and it's hard to wait in line forever to do some of the activities. This year The characters from Star Wars visited. Abe couldn't have been happier.
Tucker got to practice his rock climbing skills.
Gwynnie got to go down a few slides and apparently she wanted in the bounce house but when she actually got in she just layed there. Mr. Gilly Bear found a balloon when we first entered the festival and was content the rest of the time.

The boys got in the ring to box each other out. Look at the size of these gloves. Tucker figured if he just used one and rammed into his brother it was more effective than having both on. Abe was knocked down constantly by his brother. I was worried that he was going to be upset but I just kept hearing him giggle. In the end though he managed to knock his brother down a few times.

Sleep Overs!!

It was spring break up north for our cousins and for some reason my kids didn't have school either. The Mitchell's came down to their house in Coral Canyon and we got to spend some great time with them. The boys had two nights of sleepovers with each other. One night at our and one night at theirs. As a general rule we don't do sleepovers but with cousins it's okay. So this was the first official sleep over AT their cousins house. All went well! We LOVE our cousins! Funny to see them all sleeping like this!

Easter 2007

Here is our traditional Easter Family picture. Do you know how hard it is to get a picture of my daughter at this age? (Stacie does) I can get all three of my boys to cooperate but my almost two year old daughter, never. I could pull my hair out. She is my pride and joy...my only little girl! Nope she won't look at my camera!
This is as good as it gets!
My awesome parents came down for Easter and Abe's Birthday. I love them. I love my Mom. It is always a good time with her, dad, well he is questionable. Pretty good looking parents huh?
Gilbert got a new train that sings and moves...he really liked it. Now the singing voice of the train gets really old really fast.
The Easter Bunny hid lots of eggs inside and out!
Tucker really looking hard.

Gwyn loved her doll with snap on clothes and her new bracelet.

Art Festival

On Saturday we went to the Art Festival with my parents. It was REALLY warm that Day, to warm. This was a sweet moment with my three older kids.
Everyone watching a musical group. (Except Abe who was mad a bout having to wear the striped shorts:)
Abe was taking a rest with Gilbert. Gil hates to ride in the stroller with Gwyn, she picks at him until he cries. So it often ends up with Gwyn walking and Gil having his own double stroller.
Nannie and Gwyn.

THE PARTY

Let's just say that 17 5 and 6 year olds is really hard to handle! What was I thinking? LOL
I forget that not every child is like mine. I think that Abe is pretty easy and not that demanding but boy did he have some friends that were REALLY demanding. Note to self this age is still to unpredictable. The Girls that were invited were great for the most part but a couple of them kept kissing the boys...that is not okay with 6 year old boys! Abe had a great party and Nannie and Grandpa Mike came down for the big event(thank goodness or I would have been up a creek with out a paddle.)
We rented this big slide and silly me thought that it would entertain the kids for a couple hours. As it turns out, not so much. So Bob made them do a few obstacle courses and I had an Alien shooting game...(did I forget to mention it was a Space theme. My friend Andrea made darling invitations for it.) Then my mom quick threw together a space treasure hunt for there prizes to take home with them. All in all I thing it was a success, but never again will I invite 17 kids!!!
Abe and his buddy Boom.
Abe's big gift this year was his new red bike. He woke up and jumped right on it.
The boys ready for School on Abe's Birthday. Abe is in his new Birthday clothes. Thank goodness he liked these shorts...

Abraham Brad

Abraham
(courtsey of Stacia Shaw photography)
Abraham Brad Lamoreaux was born April 5, 2001 at 4 am. He was a very easy going baby boy and he had arrived only 17 months to the day after his brother Tucker. These are few pictures of our little man through out his first year.
Abe at age One.
Here are some more of the "Fat Man". The nick name as harsh as it sounds just stuck. He loved it! It later lead to his obsession of Batman and Superman. He thought that Batman was Actually Fatman. I guess it's not hard to tell why he had the nick name. It's funny everyone until about a year ago would tell me how big he was and what a big boy he was going to be. I truly thought so too. He has been my biggest baby and stayed quite solid for years...But about a year ago he thinned out and now he is pretty thin. So much for his nickname.
Abe at two....I want to grab him out of this picture and smoosh him.
I think that forever in my memory that this is how I will think of my boy. He LOVES Superheroes. You would never see Abe without his cape on and he would tell everyone "Me Batman" When we first moved to SG our neighbors had just moved in too. Abe turned 3 when we had been in our new house 2 days. One night when we thought the boys were in bed Bob went outside to find Abe had escaped and was in his Superman PJ's and and and this Superman Cape riding his Spider man scooter. The neighbors were out and were keeping an eye on him wondering if we had any idea he was out, we didn't know each other well enough then to tell each others kids to go back inside. He started the trend in the neighborhood with having a sword down the back of his shirt so he could ride his bike and have his hand free at anytime, you always need a sword right? One of the older neighbors asked Bob why Abe did this, Bob responded "the better question is why don't you do this?"

My handsome boy is now 6 years old!! He was a grumpy baby because he had such terrible respiratory problems. He didn't walk until he was 161/2 months old and he didn't talk until he was 2 1/2 years. Abe has always done things on his own time. He is so clever, he gets all the jokes and he can remember any song he hears and can repeat it at will always amazing me. He loves little "guys" that can be carried around in his pocket and has for as long as I can remember. He fights me on almost everything; for example the striped shorts I bought him for his birthday. He has so many friends and loves to play with them, he is just cool. ( At least 4 friends a day come over to see if he can play.) He loves hot Chocolate and his silky blanket. Abe loves babies...he adores Gilbert. I am so blessed to have kids who play together for the most part really really well. Abe still like to show me he loves me. He still snuggles me and gives me kiss freely. Abe has been a huge blessing in my life I love him lots...my Sugar Baby. Thanks for 6 wonderful years.

Birthday cake time. Gwyn needed to help blow out candles too.
Gwynnie loved the Cake . This is great cake, thanks mom for the great recipe.
Amelia was ready for a little cake time too.
Crazy uncle Jeff trying to get a giggle out of Monson.
The birthday boy!
Kate, Hunter, Tucker, Abe and Taft, had a great water fight with themselves and a few of the other neighbor kids....maybe not the most appropriate Sunday activity....but what can you do?
Gwyn loves Mills...or Mols as Gwyn calls her.
Tucker took the brunt of the water fight. He was a little wet.

34 Years!!!

This is a tribute to my favorite person in the world! Today my love had his birthday. I am so grateful to have gotten to share 9 of those with him. This first group of pictures is of Bobby as a baby and a toddler. (Okay, first of all, I am totally computer illiterate, so my scanning in pictures looks very very amature.) I love to see him these years because I see so much of our children in him. Especially Gwynnie and Tucker.
My sisters and I giggle every time we see this picture of him at that ninth grade night dance. It's okay to laugh...he does. The one of him in the BYU hat is him receiving a birthday cake from some girl on his birthday in High School.
Bobby the baseball player. He had one like this for football and basketball. He was a total "jock" and in high school I would have nothing to do with him. He tells me that in my dresses and cloaks he wouldn't have talked to me to much either.
Mission pictures of Elder Lamoreaux! Some of you might recognize these fellows he is with. Oh yeah, this is when Bobby became Bob. He's hot! I totally would have been one of the member girls trying to get him to write me. You know that type of girl....to bad I was only 14 years old at the time.
These are the years of courtship and marriage....did I say years I meant year. On his 25th birthday his friends threw a huge party at their house for him. His old girl friend came and I was pretty proud to be pretty much engaged to him. I also remember our first fight the next day when he told me she looked really good the night before:)

Here are more recent pictures of Bob and our kids. They are crazy about him. I am crazy about him. I am pretty sure anyone who knows Bob loves him. I am really glad he picked me. So, I guess what I am saying is that the world became a much better place when Bob was born. Happy Birthday Babe!
