Tucker is 9 years old....when did that happen?
Tucker turned 9 on November 5th and due to some serious computer problems I couldn't post anything to my amazing first born!!! After a really nice friend rebuilt our computer (name with held) I am up and running so I will start my love letter to Tucker-boo! ( I may even try to get his look alike to write a few words.) The first thing I think of when I think of Tuck is his how amazingly kind and loving he is. My two oldest boys have the BEST relationship. They are really best friends and spend most of their time together. They couldn't be more different but it works. I truly believe it works because Tucker came first. He is so generous and kind to Abe and will always try to make Abe happy (his daddy's trait.) Abe can't help but really love Tucker. Yesterday they were doing the Sunday dishes and I was in the other room grinning my head off listening to them sing together as they cleaned..... They do fight sometimes, it's not all love.
Tucker loves himself some video games....he and Abe will play for hours together on the wii or their DS's. Tucker's Nannie sent him some sweet Lego's and a DS game that he immediately shared with his brother.
His big gift from us was his new BMX bike! He was crazy about it! He loves it and rides it everyday. What's really funny is when Bob decides he want a turn and rides around the neighborhood. He and Abe have also found a new love for roller blades...it's a good thing he fits in to MINE....what? Yes, he is that big.
The sweetest thing about Tucker is his tender heart. My man and I wrote him letters for his birthday to read with his present opening. Before opening his presents he walked over to the couch to read his letters by himself. We looked over to see him crying and sniffing as he read daddy's letter. He walked right over to give him some sugar and as I watched I was just so grateful he is so much like his dad.
That same week he received his Wolf in scouts and was so proud. I am sad to see him leave our den:(
The rule at our house is a big birthday party every other year. Last year was his big party, but he begged just to have his neighbor friends over to play games. Yes, these boys ALL live in just our neighborhood. We didn't even invite other kids from the ward or school. Can I just say having a birthday party for older kids is so much easier. They were so fun and we played games that were fun and didn't need a whole lot of adult supervision. Their favorite game was MAFIA and they wanted to play it like 10 times.
We also played the candy bar game and that left Abe in tears a few times....is it rude I had to get it on film....he might hate me later in life. Oh, and look at the poor beat up girl next to him, she is really sad looking.
Here is Tucker trying to get the candy bar. he said he had a really great time at the party so I guess it was a success.

You made us want more children. You bring so much peace and happiness to our home. I am so glad you came first. Thanks for always wanting to be responsible and to succeed to the best of your ability. You have such a strong testimony of the gospel at such a young age and I am so impressed by it. Your teachers at school and church always tell me of the respect you show them, and I beam at it. I love you more than life and hope you know that. You simply AMAZE me. I love you beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy. Happy Birthday!
*****Hold on to your sock's folks, my man is making his first appearance on my blog!
This is going to ruin my creativity for our Christmas letter...Tucker is such a blessing in our family. He is so caring, thoughtful, friendly, innocent, helpful, curious, and afraid of the dark. We are so glad that he is the one setting the example for his brothers and sister. He knows that I get easily frustrated with him because I understand his approach and reactions to life so well, because I've tried it before. It's always funny to me how similar we react to stress in our home. Tucker, you have a wonderful life ahead of you little man, I hope we can always keep you pointed in the right direction. Thank you for all you do, all you are, and all the happiness you bring to us!

Welcome to the world....
Meet my beautiful niece Poppy Louise Jackson!
These pictures are not in any great order but I will explain the best I can.
Poppy was snuggled up to mommy while the nurse was listening to her. She found the nurses knuckle, I guess her rooting instinct was working:)
My beautiful sister Brooke invited me to come in the labor and delivery room to take pictures of her daughters birth. Brooke's water broke at 12:30 pm on Sunday and she was pushing by 2:20pm. I would like to tell you that I am not insanely jealous but I am!!! What an awesome delivery. Not to mention she looked GREAT! She didnt' even break a sweat.
Our mom and sisters were invited to be in the room while Poppy's mom and dad welcomed her into the world. I can tell you that their was not a dry eye among us. It was totally amazing. Kennan was audibly gasping and sobbing while Paige watched in amazement....I don't think she can hold off long to have her first after that. My mom cried as she watched her 5th child and 3rd daughter give birth to her 12th grand baby. As for the pictures I took, they may be a bit blurry because I couldn't see through my tears.
We keep telling Paige that women in our family are not usually like Brooke, no stretch marks, water breaking, and fast delivery's......so don't plan on it.

Here is Poppy one day old......I know the picture is out of place but what can I do?

One of the most emotional moments during the day was when Dustin's parents brought Minie into see her mom and new sister. This was Brooke's reaction at seeing the big sister.

I'll tell you what, these girls are lucky to have these fantastic parents. Oh, and could these two baby girls look any more different?

weight: 7lbs. 6oz.
height: 19 1/2 inches long

First bath....This is where I feel cheated. I have four beautiful children but never once did they bath the baby in my room so I could watch. Brooke got to watch everything, and Poppy never left her sight. They also play Brahms Lullaby over the loud speaker while they walk the baby and mom to their hospital room. How cute is that?

She didn't like the bath but she loved getting her hair washed!
Bathed, dressed, warmed and sleeping.....Oh, I love her so much already! It might make me a bit baby hungry myself.....

I have birthed four children but never have I really gotten to see a birth....seeing that I am always doing the work. It was so touching and it will stay with me forever. Poppy will always have a special place in my heart. Brooke you are beautiful, and I was so proud of you. You are an amazing mother and I admire you in so many ways....photography just being one of them:) I hope you enjoy the pictures....I have a whole CD full of them. Love your little family!
