Birthday Boy!!!!!

I am a little late on Gil's second birthday, but better late than never right? Here are some pictures of him getting ready to open some presents. Bob was out of town on business:( but we were so lucky to have Aunt Kennan and Aunt Brooke come and celebrate with us!
He really understood the present thing this year.
A little brotherly help from Tucker.
Minie was watching the opening of presents from her bike.
Daddy gave Gil his own HUGE dump truck. He liked it but Minie LOVED it. When she would disappear we would find her in the back of the truck just sitting there.
Nannie gave Gil this AWESOME space ship and toys. This was the hit of the party. All the kids wanted to play with it. Even the big boys.
Birthday Cake
Serious Gil waiting for his cake.

Jude enjoying a little play time with the iplay rocketship.
Ummm ice cream.....
Checking it out...
A little brotherly bugging.
Gil's favorite present hands down was the big ball given to him by his big brothers. He had a great day, but daddy was sorely missed. It is always fun to have my sisters come down. They are always a great time, but 7.5 kids is a lot for three ladies:) We missed you mom.

My first attempt at black and white.....

Gwynnie's giggle...I love her chubby fingers in this picture!
Happy Gil Bear, but by that afternoon he was very feverish.....Last night Bob took him in to the doctor and he has an ear infection. both his tubes are out so I guess we will see if he is going to need tubes again!

Geena is my favorite 6 year old ! She is so sweet with Gwyn and Gil. I like to call her my little nanny. She entertains my kids often for me. Love her like she is my own. While we were taking pictures the other day she and Gwyn were whispering to each other.....so cute!

Her first day at pre-school.....where is the time going?

Here she is ready to go....and oh so tired of mother's photo shoots!! Little brother feeling the need to have his back pack on too. It's a good thing he was down for his nap when I had to take her, I am afraid he would have had a melt down with out sister bear.

Talking to daddy who was out of town for her first day...I don't know who it was harder for, her or her dad! The other night after Bob and I had been laying in bed for awhile when he rolled over laughing, telling me that Gwyn had proposed to him earlier in the evening:)
Waiting for Miss Debbie's door to open....
Gwyn in class with her friend S.J. She loved Pre-school and didn't stop talking about it all day. She loves Miss Debbie ( helps that she is my good friend!) She was really tired after the long two hours of strenuous work;) We LOVE pre-school

Batman....

Is it wrong he is my favorite at this moment? He will be 2 in a few days, w-o-w!

My Name is Robyn....and I am THIRTY!!!!

On August 24th I turned 30 years old...all I can say is it is about time! I feel like I have been 30 for years now, why? I don't know it just does! Here is my most favorite card I got from sugar baby on my birthday. Yes, that is right my son loves me in LEGO! My boys are very obsessed with you tube and watching Weird Al's Music Videos. They love White and Nerdy and Fat! The other day we found the music videos done in LEGO! You would have thought that my boys had died and gone to heaven. They laughed so hard. So there you have it, I am loved in LEGO!

I threw myself a party(the day before my birthday) this year because my husband did such a good job of it last year, I figured I 'd give him a break. We invited a lot of people this year...and it was great! Mary Ann did the decor which I some how didn't get great pictures of (she may have a career in crate paper). Cute Jen bought me cake and Mary Ann(her blog soon to follow) and I planned some games. I was so glad when Debbie and Dale came because she has been literally down in bed all summer with a crushed ankle. So fun to be able to socialize with her in person!
My man and me!
My lovely cake from the wonderful Jen Dolce!
My peeps!!! Mary Ann and Andrea, you two know I love you guys!

One of the few shots of the party....(Kennan, this picture of Jimmy is for you!)
I think we ended up with 45 people and it my little house was crowded but my beautiful yard that my husband takes great care worked out well. Everyone brought treats to share and it seemed like people enjoyed themselves. Thanks to all of you for coming!

Here are my thoughts on being thirty:

Years ago my sister-in-law Lisa, told me how her beloved grandma Laycock told her if she could be any age again she would choose her 30's because she was not too young to feel insecure, her children were here and growing, and everything still worked well (meaning body)! I tucked that conversation away in my mind and knew I would think on it as I turned 30. So, turning 30 is great; I have a beautiful family and a fantastic husband and life! So, I am going to look at my life in that view....this is the best time of my life! Hello 30!!!

Swim Team

Another great year of swim team has come to an end! I feel terrible that I have not posted about this before but better late than never right? This is team jr. sharks, and my boys have been apart of it for a couple of years.
Tucker showing you his tooth that was pulled out....yuck!
Tuck did amazing well this year. At his swim meet he swam all four events and won all four of them. I was the very proud mom on the side lines screaming and jumping up and down. Abe swam in Tucker's division, he was the youngest but he still did very well. He kept saying, "but I didn't come in last!" After the swim meet there was a raffle and Abe won. He told his Nannie that she should be proud because Tucker won all the races and he won the raffle! Skill/chance it's all the same right?
*no close up of Abe because he was off playing!

First day of School

Our summer went so fast, and I can't believe we are in school again. I have a 2nd and 3rd grader how did that happen? I totally remember both of these grades well...... Oh yes and Miss Priss wanted to be in every picture.
All four of our kiddo's ready for school. Abe's Teacher is Mrs. Westover and Tucker's is Mrs. Nobis.....it should be a fun year.

10 YEARS

Year 1:
We went to the movies when ever we wanted, and both worked. Waking up lying next to each other was an amazing treat.
*Our first real fight because Nick and Warnick invited you to play basketball and you agreed with out hesitation. You left our house with a dinner for two uneaten and very angry wife. Who later had her car towed because I went back to my old apartment to visit Ally and parked where it was apparently illegal. Good times....kind of hard to give the silent treatment when you need your husband to rescue you.
Year 2:
Our first baby was born and we had so much fun playing with him....you had a real Engineering job in SLC and we had 2 cars. We bought our first home. Still a treat to wake up next to each other and the baby in bed with us.
*You went to pick out our new car and we had a price set that we were not going above. You came home with a very reliable Prism but spent double what we wanted to spend. After I threw a major crying fit you left and came back with a pink Neon (that you would be driving to work) that was just the right price.....you are a good man Charlie Brown!
Year 3:
We welcomed our 2nd baby into our home. We spent lots of time with our families, and we thought our two boys were the best. You started a different Engineering job close by our home. We woke up a little less happy with Tucker still in our bed but we relished the fact that our boys would sleep in if we snuggled them in bed with us.
*Tucker ate rat poison down stairs in the nasty basement......You had to rush him to the ER and we we watched them put charcoal down our babies throat. You had to travel to Vernal weekly for days at at time....I really hated it. Our new house was very old and we realized we didn't love what came with that. That house gave every spider a bad name to you. Watch out spiders.
Year 4:
Abe was sick ALL the time we were in and out of the hospital with him. You were gone so much to Vernal and I think on this year as very hard. I felt better when you got home. We finally got a king size bed and waking up was a treat again even with Tucker in our bed.
*You were layed off from work and we were really scared, it was a real shot to your self-esteem. We almost took job in Georgia but at the last minute a better job came around in Fresno, Ca.
Year5:
We moved to Fresno and we didn't know a soul. We had so much fun just being a little family and discovering all of our new surroundings. I was so crazy about you in a different way....something about being on our own. We made great new friends. I think of this as a fantastic year. We were sleeping again because our babies were growing up, and thinking about maybe another baby.
*Abe was still so sick and we had a very scary ambulance ride with him.
Year 6:
We continued to enjoy Fresno, I was pregnant and then I lost the baby at 16 weeks and my world crashed. You took great care of me and after only 1 1/2 years in Fresno you made the decision to move us to St. George. We bought a NEW house and started our life over.
*I was very sad. That was very hard for you. You took a job delivering Pizzas at night to make a little extra cash to pay for insurance.
Year 7:
We were having a baby and it was a GIRL! We loved our house, St. George, our neighborhood, and how much closer we were to our families. Your job was terrible and we had no insurance but by October you were working for a wonderful company. You were totally smitten with our daughter. Our bed was free of children, and we had totally enjoyed our waking up together again.
*You lost your brother. You were sad. We spent a lot of time talking and crying. Gwyn's birth made some of the hole better.
Year 8:
We were having another baby. You added on to our house and did a great job of it. Your job was great, we had insurance, and you didn't have to travel. We were in the mix of sports and all that goes with little boys. Gil was born and our lives were really full and really busy. Tucker was back in our bed a lot after Tim's death, he was scared. We managed to enjoyed our quiet moments though.
*Gil had to spend a couple weeks in the NICU and that was no fun. I was a little less fun than before, four kids was dang hard. You had to calm me many times.
Year 9:
We have traveled like crazy and had so much fun. The kids are getting easier and harder. You got to baptize our oldest son. We had a week long cruise without our children. You have stolen me away for a few night here and there. We are so busy! All of our money goes to feeding our kids.....holy cow it's expensive. When we wake up to each other it is only to look over Gwyn and sometimes Tucker or Abe to see each other......maybe our bed will be ours again someday. Maybe.
*Your wife talks on the phone to much and likes to spend to much of your money on pretty things. We are chubby and have maybe played to much this year.....but what a great year it has been.
Year 10:
?????
Happy Anniversary!!!Thanks for this amazing journey! It's amazing to me that you can still make me feel like I am the most interesting and beautiful woman in the room when clearly I am not. You are my best friend and I think that I will keep you. I love you even if you are a FuNy JOkE!!!!
p.s. Ten years doesn't seem possible it was only yesterday we were dating and getting married....but then I write it out like this and wow! Has it only been ten years? We have been through a lot together babe.

Early birthday present.....thanks mom!

An early birthday present from my mom(new lens for my camera).....not to mention she surprised us with watching our kids for the night for our anniversary. What could be better? The kids stayed up until midnight watching movies and eating popcorn (in mom and dad's bed) with Nannie. All of them slept with Nannie. For breakfast Nannie fixed them what ever they wanted for breakfast, I think that meant for different meals were prepared. For a treat and lunch Snow Cones and McDonald's! Do you wonder why my kids adore her? She is amazing! Love you Mom.

Happy Birthday to two of my favorite people!!!!!

Andrea is my my sanity and giggling partner!
A well known fact is that we can talk up to 20 times a day on the phone.....even if it is only for 2 minutes. (like I said, sanity) Also a well known fact: she is the nicest person in the world and would give you the shirt off her back. She is BEAUTIFUL and full of life. I am so glad she is my friend! Happy Birthday!
Trevan is amazing! I love him and feel like he is my brother! He and Kennan make a dynamic Duo! He is a great dad and one of the most mellow people I have ever met! Happy birthday Trev!

Loved it!!

Just a quick update to say that I read Breaking Dawn and LOVED it! My sisters-in-laws and my friend Lisa went to the book party release and were actually kind of bored, but we were thrilled to get the book. Once we got back to Amy's house we all started to read. Sarah gave up pretty quick and Laura was soon after, but Amy an I plugged along until about 5 am when Amy finally gave up. I tried to sleep but I am far to excitable and obsessive, so I finished yesterday around 2pm.....
I liked that it was very different from her last three, much more grown up. I loved that Bella wasn't so whiny anymore and I loved how it ended! What a fun read.....hope all of you enjoy!

Sometimes you just need the day to end......

Well know fact: Gilbert is allergic to Peanut Butter!
Yesterday I made my kids some French toast for breakfast and peanut butter is a common love for a topping on it...(thank you Megan). After the peanut butter you put syrup on top of that....pure sugary deliciousness. After I finish putting PB on Tuck's and Gwyn's I realize we are out of syrup....I am always very careful to make sure Gil is not sitting by them. While the kids are running door to door to the neighbors looking for syrup I turn around to see Gil on top of the counter dipping his fingers into Tuck's french toast that is covered with PB. I am cursing under my breath and running for the Benadryl while I watch my son's face swell and his eyes disappearing. I get the situation in control and finish every ones breakfast and start to clean up when I hear Miss Priss screaming......

She is crying in pain and I keep asking what is wrong she cries,"I don't know, I just put something in my nose." This is never a good answer. So I set her on the counter and look up her nose to see it has some kind of ball in it. I keep having her blow her nose and trying all the tricks I know from some of my other children putting things in spaces they should not. Nothing is happening.....so I go for the tweezers. 10 minutes later I pull a big old arts & crafts pom pom out of her nose. Why? Why would you want that up your nose? I am thinking to myself it's 9 am and what else could go wrong? About 20 minutes later Tucker comes in from cleaning out the car and says " Mom Gil found some PB M&Ms in the car and has been eating them." At this point I audibly scream and clean out his mouth and hope we aren't going to have to make a trip to the ER. We never have PB candy, where is this coming from? By 9:40 am I was ready for the day to end. Poor Gil had swollen eyes until he went to sleep. Glad it's over!
