Sullivan Michael Lamoreaux

This is Brooke, Robyn's sister.
I have broken into her account to post a picture of their newest addition!
what with their computer being down and all...

This is Sullivan.
He was born today at 2:49 pm.

I will let Robyn give the rest of the stats on her own, but I had to share something..
I just love him too much.

Congrats Rob & Bob!
You make perfectly beautiful babies.

A little baby update.....

My stinkin computer crashed this week. I am waiting to see if this awesome guy we know will look at it for us. I have lots of things to post but I am afraid they will not get done until I get my computer back.
Which means probably not until after baby boy is born.
That's right baby boy is planned to arrive this coming Monday if not sooner.
He has been a crazy contortionist in my womb these past few weeks.
I mean CRAZY.
I can tell you that I was in the hospital last Thursday because he wasn't moving and the Dr. office couldn't get the NST to be what they wanted....nothing a little juice wouldn't have helped but seeing that I am Diabetic right now, no juice for me.
So I got to visit the hospital where mister baby here was no longer breech but transverse.
Side to side people.
He did start moving at the hospital, actually he started dancing in my womb at the hospital.
I went to visit this awesome Reflexoligist/homeopathic lady named Julie who put some oils on my feet and did some pressure points and sent me home to sleep before my Dr. and I visited the next day.
I went in, and straight to the ultra sound equipment and sure enough he had flipped to being head down!
Cheering in then back ground please.
After that I was checked and told I was dilated to a 2 (which I know is not a lot for some, but for me that's where I start labor) I started in with some heavy contractions. I was thrilled. I just wanted to get the baby's head engaged, no more of this flipping around thing.
Saturday was Grandma Lamoreaux's Funeral in Paragonah (pronounced Paragoona).
Sunday was Stake Conference where we woke up too 3 puking children. So we had a lazy sick day at home, and during family nap time I felt crazy boy flip again. His heart beat was suddenly under my right rib and he was moving very panicked. Bob can attest, no lady's stomach should be able to move like it was. Even he watched in pure amazement. He likes that Breech position I tell you.
I started panicking and trying every move I could find on the Internet to help flip your baby. I may have hung upside down many times on Monday.
The Dr. Office said I should come in today and see where he was positioned, and during the night he had found his way back to the "appropriate position".
So we are back on schedule because there actually needs to be a schedule.
All my friend "peeps" are gone out of town that would usually help me out should I go into labor, so I need a schedule so that my mom and sisters can help me out.
My mom moved Granny B into her house and has taken full care of my Granny who is not doing a bit well and just found out she is in congestive heart failure along with MANY other problems. She has assured me come hell or high water she will be down here for the darling's birth but not without feeling very stressed about leaving Granny. Hopefully one of her 4 other siblings will take a turn and help out for a week or so that she can be here in the delivery room to see the mister be born and so kindly care for my children for a few days while I recover.
She is a most sought after woman don't you know.
That is where we stand.
-Me and the baby-
I am trying to take full advantage of this last week with just my kids.
Tarzan tomorrow at Tuachan.
Splash Pad today.
(My older boys told me was not real fun for them today)
Baseball party later this week.
Watching all of their birth videos with them.
Swim lessons for the littles.
Just a little time together you know?
We can't wait to meet this new little love.
All of us.
I will post when I have more and my own computer back!

Flippin Baby!!!!

My stinkin' baby flipped to being breech again!
Perhaps he is a gymnast?
Fleeing a little bit grumpy about this.
The Doctor is giving the baby until next week to flip to make some decisions.
Send good flipping vibes my way to baby please!
p.s.
If one more person tries to tell me WHEN this baby should come I may actually scream....if you haven't noticed he is not listening to me or anyone else. I can't seem to get him to want to be on my schedule or anyone elses. So please no more schedule advice.

Baby update

Can you believe it?
He totally looks like one of ours!

I have never been one to freak out about ultra sound pictures. People would talk about how they could tell they looked more like one of their children...blah blah blah.
But with these 4D, I am now one of those freaks.
We are in love at this house.
We can't wait to see him.
To hold him.
To love on him.
I am 35+ weeks and feeling very big.
We are on a serious count down now.
Because of my Gestational Diabetes and the medication I am on I get to visits the Dr. Every week.
I get hooked up to the NST for a 1/2 hour while there.
Every other week they do U/S so we get to see him frequently, they keep his size in check.
He was Breech for a good 5 Weeks.
I was beginning to panic but as of Friday he flipped.
That is why we are getting GREAT U/S pictures now.
I am happy to say he is growing great and at regular speed.
I haven't put on any weight since 28 weeks (because of my lovely diet.)
This week I put on 2 lbs.
Either he is growing, or I am not doing very well with my diet....(okay maybe a little of both.)

I am CRAZY tired and some times just CRAZY myself.
I am really starting to look forward to the end of this pregnancy, and for that sweet little reward at the end.
As far as the preparation goes, baby's room is ready.
Clothes are washed and put away.
Gwyn got a new dresser that we refinished (pics to come later) so baby can have his changing table.
Gil moved in with Big Boys.
Finished Silky blanket that Grandma Lamoreaux and I started 5 years ago.
Bought diapers.
No diaper bag yet, need to start on that.
Need to prep car seat and stroller.
Still have a few sewing projects.
Need to buys wipes....
I need to stop listing it is making me stress...
I still have time, I still have time....

Earrings

When I was growing up, my dad was dead set against earrings.
He would say, "If God wanted you to have holes in your ears, he would have put them there." My mom convinced him we could get our ears pierced at age 10. So for my tenth birthday, I took all my friends to the mall where we ate at the eatery, and I got my ears pierced.
When it came to Gwyn, I left it up to her.
She is it.
There are no other girls following behind to set a precident for.
Bob was more than supportive,
I wanted her to be ready and want them.
The last couple of months, she has been toying with the idea.
She loves jewelery.
When Aunt Brooke was going to be here, and all the boys were at Father and Sons we decided it was time.
We went to the mall, she chose the earrings she would like, and she sat scared on th chair while Minie held her hand.
Two minutes later she was gorgeous.
We then went for Sushi, then a movie, and then a little shopping.
She is so much fun.
She couldn't wait to surprise her Dad and brothers.

_MG_8182

Every morning she wakes up then runs to the mirror to look at her divine diamonds that adorn her ears.
She was ready.

_MG_8183

Now this punk had a fantastic time on Fathers and Sons.
What camping trip would be complete with out a little flesh wound?

_MG_8189

The Angels...

Abe's team the Angels won their championship game this week.
It was pretty serious business.
Abe really enjoys playing baseball and this was his first year of playing minor league which means the kids actually pitch.
Sometime that makes for painful games in many ways.
Getting hit by the ball....
Watching a pitcher never throw a strike...
Watching 2 innings in an hour and a half...
Your son being walked 90% of the time....
_MG_8174

I want you to notice that Abe has on normal baseball pants, but his shirt was really short, so he would refuse to tuck it in. That is unless he decided to wear his baseball leggings instead....

_MG_8273

Then he would tuck them in.
Yes, he is Grandpa Mike's grandson.
Yes, his legs are really that long and skinny.
Yes, he does wear his pants that high.

_MG_8296

Here is the winning team.

Love these boys, most of them we have known since Abe was just 3 years old. It was a fun year of baseball.

Baby Brig

We were so lucky to get a little visit from baby Brig and my darling sister Paige.
We had not met him yet and he did not disappoint.
My kids were smitten.
My mom and Paige stopped to spend the night while on their way to Arizona to get Granny.
They rolled in about 12:45am and we stayed up until after 2 talking and me getting to love on that sweet boy.
It's a good thing I took that time because after that my kids claimed him.

_MG_8201

Gil LOVED him. He kept telling us, "Give me that boy baby!"
When I would ask for a turn he would tell me, "Not yet mom, it's still my turn."

_MG_8205

Gwyn was of course in heaven.
Brig may look a little scared in that picture though.
Actually, I have never met such a smiley baby at so young of an age.

IMG_8197

Gil taking another turn.

It was so fun to see them, and to get ready for our own. The big boys were sad they only got a few minutes with him before they left for school. Even Bob stayed a home a little later than usual so he could get a little holding time in.

Paige is an awesome mom.

She is way more relaxed than I thought my little perfect Paige would be. She is in heaven, and so is Brig. They are the perfect little match for each other, especially that he looks so much like her.

Thanks so much for stopping to see us. It meant the world to us.

Beauty Salon Birthday Party....

Gwyn loves herself a little pampering.
This year seeing that I am Humongous and not wanting to do anything, we opted for the beauty school.
The Paul Mitchell beauty school to be exact.
Gwyn invited 7 of her favorite lady friends (and with a little help from Nannie and my friend Jessica) we had a fabulous day at the salon.
This might be picture overload but what do you do.

_MG_8386

All the ladies!

_MG_8394

Some of the girls started with pedi's and others with manicures.

_MG_8411

_MG_8415

Gwyn took this really serious.

_MG_8418

The girls got to choose any color and combination they wanted.
It was so fun for the girls.

_MG_8421

Piper started the trend for polka dots on the toes.

_MG_8427

_MG_8428

Janessa had CRAZY ideas for all of her creations.
She wanted swirls and flowers and many other things.

_MG_8423

Gwyn had very elegent toes done.
(Her lady was the best.)

_MG_8437

Dezzi getting her hair done.

_MG_8441

Gwyn getting an up-do.

_MG_8454
This is the do all done.

Five

Oh, my little girl is five today.

I love it and I hate it.
It is going fast, but she is just so much fun.
She is everything I could have hoped for.
Girly, girly, girly.
She loves babies, anything pink or purple, jewelery, fancy long hair, make-up, flowers, dolls, show tunes, shopping, her brothers, her dad, showing affection, old movies, and me.
My life would be very testosterone filled without her.

_MG_8368

She wakes up happy and sweet.
She likes to pretend she is still asleep with her arms open waiting for a hug (this takes place in my bed). The minute you hug her she begins to giggle.
I like FIVE.
I can't believe she is leaving me for kindergarten this fall.

_MG_8369

Before she leaves a room she hugs me and then says words of love to her little baby brother in my tummy.

The reason she is so big for her age is that she has so much love her body has to be able to contain it all. Great Granny A was her for her birthday, and perhaps a little sickly looking, it didn't matter she just kept hugging and loving her. Granny couldn't get enough.

On this day Five years ago my life changed drastically for the better. My baby girl has made life so pink and rose colored.

Her dad's too.

Boy oh boy does she have him wrapped around her finger.

Happy Birthday sweet and spunky girl! This is going to be a BIG year for you.

My hump, my hump, my lovely baby hump.....

I know that the song is not referring to that kind of hump....but it's all I hear in my head when I look at this picture.
This is me 32 weeks pregnant with number five.

32 weeks pregnant

* You're welcome Paige*

I seem to surviving this little Gestational Diabetes thing.

The upside it that I haven't gained any weight since I found out about my diabetes ...I have actually lost a pound.
Let's be honest though, I would much rather be eating my self silly right about now, instead of eating my new diet.
Except looking at this picture I can see that my weight is in the baby bump, but also in my arms....ugh.
Why my arms?

Nevermind...

I think maybe it's a good thing I am on this diet.

I have much to update about so I will try to get to it this week.

My new best friend....

This is my One Touch Ultra Mini.
Mine is actually Purple.
I use her 4 times a day to check my glucose levels.
I give my finger a little prick and put the blood on that little strip...
Then I wait for the magic numbers.
So far I have only passed once.
ugh...
Please no insulin, please no insulin.
Yesterday I sat in a two hour class at the diabetes clinic.
(Thanks to Farmgirl for watching my kids. Could some one in my family move here please?)
I learned all about my new life style for the next 6-10 weeks.
I can do anything for that long.
Carbs and I are no longer friends at all.
Carbs have officially become my enemy.
We learned a lot about the 2 different types of Diabetes.
Debbie, you and Brendan have a whole new respect in my eyes.
Type I is REALLY hard.
you don't produce ANY insulin,
Where as with my type II Gestational diabetes,
I produce insulin, but my body doesn't want to recognize and utilize it.
Did you know Insulin in a growth hormone?
That's part the reason gestational diabetes babies get so big in Utero.
I meet with my DR. next week and the clinic again.
I guess I will have more of a game plan with baby boy then.
****I miss yummy sugary treats already.
Brownies sound so nice.

Failed

I failed my damn 3 hour glucose test...
Why does this pregnancy hate me?
p.s.
I feel like a beached whale...I think I might look like one too.

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Kind of panicking....

What are we going to name this baby?
I have a few names but nothing that I am CRAZY about.
Gil went without a name for a few days.
Bob kept telling me our son needed a name in the NICU so that they quit calling him Lamoreaux baby.
It drove us nuts....
Not the NICU calling him that, just that we couldn't come up with a name.
I don't want to do that again.
We are starting to get close, and I just keep thinking something will come to us.
Help?!
p.s.
I didn't pass my Glucose test so I get to go in for the 3 hour test.
I was suppose to go last week....who has that kind of time.
I don't.
I guess I'll try again this week.

Our week in pictures....

So this may be a little more than a week but only by a day....
We celebrated Bob's birthday with a little birthday cake with the kids.
I love this picture because look at Gil just adoring him.
IMG_7570

IMG_7572

I bought Bob tickets to see Phantom of the Opera in Vegas.
We went Friday afternoon and came home late that night.

It was amazing.
I love taking him to things like this.
He had never seen it.
He knows the music well from the movie.
After we leave he is always so impressed with the talent of the actors/ musicians that he can't help beaming about it.

Bob's Grandma Knutson died last week.
His parents went out to be with her before she died.
We had plans that they were going to be coming down over Easter weekend, but when all that happened we understood they couldn't come.
Connie surprised by calling Thursday night (the evening they got home) telling us they would still like to come down.

We were thrilled.
They got to our house late Friday night.
We went to the Arts Festival, listened to Confrenece, baked yummy treats, and dyed eggs while the men went to Preisthood meeting.
Connie and I got some great talking time in.
It was so fun to hear all the stories she had to share about her mom and her childhood.
I am glad I got her right after her sweet week with her mom.
Time with Grandy and Grandpa is always wonderful time.
Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures with them.
_MG_7580

We love our little Easter Egg hunt.

_MG_7581

_MG_7594

Perhaps it's time for me to get new Easter baskets....the boys look a little old for them.

IMG_7573

Each of our kids got scooters and some treats...

_MG_7656

"disclaimer*

We don't swim on Sundays.
The Mitchells and Beutlers ( Bob's sisters) were also in town and we had a lovely easter dinner planned.
We told the kids that because it was Easter and confrence we would let them swim...
They were only going to see their cousins that afternoon because they were leaving the next day.
So we let them.
I am not joking when I say that not five minutes after they started swimming Gwyn jumped off of the hot tub side and hit her chin, and split it open.
There was no question the girl needed stiches.
Lesson learned.
She was awesome and brave.
Sweet Aunt Laura went with us to the night clinic.
Gwyn was great....she justt kept saying "I'm so bugged I am missing my play time with Amelia"
We were back within an hour and a half.
She still got a good 2 hours to play with her cousins.
She acted like nothing had happened.

_MG_7602

The next morning was Abe's Birthday.
He wanted Bakugan and DS games.

_MG_7610
He was not dissappointed.

This year was not a birthday party year....but I can't not do something. I took three of his friends (4 if you count Tucker) to see Diary of a Whimpy kid. This was the first series Abe read and loved. He was thrilled to see this movie, so were his friends.

IMG_7625

After the movie we came back for Abe's favorite Strawberry Shortcake and ice cream and presents.

Love this picture...you know he is really thinking about this wish.

IMG_7638

Abe and Braden.

IMG_7643

All the kids plus Gwyn and Geena.

I dont' have any documentation of the 4 baseball games, the choir concert, and the soccer game that also happened this week. I'll try better next week to get some of the games. Seeing that Tucker's game start at 8 pm and go to 10pm...it's kind of dark. (yes, on a school night)

(Tucker did pitch 3 innings and did a great job.)

_MG_7661

We went back to the Doctor on Friday to get pretty girls sticthes out. They think she needs tubes again, dang it!

_MG_7666

On Saturday after baseball practice, giving boys summer haircuts, and Tuck's soccer game, we got to enjoy they Watkins pool up at the cliffs.

Amber and Chase were visiting and invited us up to her parents AMAZING house. The kids and Bob swam for a few hours.....not so much me. Kind of feeling like a beached whale.

_MG_7665

What an eventful week!

I would like to say it will slow down a bit but I really don't think so. It is so fun to support the kids and see them enjoying themselves. Bob is a great coach and Tuck is thrilled he is his coach. All that being said....

I am tired.

My legs look really bad. My varicose veins are painful. But who has time to dwell on it when you have a family to run. Thank goodness for an AWESOME husband who makes me sit for while and put up my 80 year old legs.

p.s. I also had a Dr. Appt this week....
I am officially in my third tri-mester!
See this little cutie.....he will be here soon, and we can't wait.
I love my Dr. office and the U/S tech! They just sneak us in for little peaks.
Gil was with us and couldn't be more excited to see him.
He kept asking "where's his johnson" yep that's right, I am surrounded by boys.
